The book For the Children has been chosen as one of nine books featured on the wiki showing the human side of global conflicts
We received excellent news from author Geza Tatrallyay. This one tells us: « I thought you might wish to know that my book entitled "For the Children", has just been chosen as one of nine books featured on the wiki website Nonfiction Books That Show The Human Side Of Global Conflicts ».
Global tragedies are, unfortunately, all too common. War, natural disaster, and political upheaval can force people out of their homes, split up families, and ruin lives. News coverage of large-scale disasters and global conflicts is often unemotional and fact-driven, making it easy to ignore the impact these events have on real people's lives. Books, however, can move away from cold statistics and shine a spotlight on the day-to-day experiences of individuals living through tough times. This video was made with Ezvid Wikimaker. The book is available at Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/177076500X.
An interview with Travis Peagler, author of the book entitled "TREPIDATION: Darkness and Light Can't Coexist"
Travis Peagler is a very unique individual, from being the youngest of seven kids, raised partially in low-income apartments on the East side of Dayton, Ohio until the age of nine. Humble beginnings growing up in a somewhat multi-racial neighborhood gave Travis an inimitable perspective on life at a very young age.
His imagination has always been his outlet. Thinking back to grade-school when he was in an uncomfortable situation or when he didn’t handle conflict well, Travis would always replay the scene again in his mind where things played out the way he wished. An innate defense mechanism he assumes. However, that’s when he discovered that he was a quick thinker and could really make up some cool stories with his wild and vivid imagination. Slowly, he began to embrace this wonderful gift of mastering words, creating stories, and make-believe characters.

Buckaroo Buckeye grew out of my life’s journey. I, too, am that buckeye nut. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, I meandered many miles over the years before putting down roots in the Arizona desert. Nourished by family memories and culture, education, life experiences, and a desire to teach others, I discovered my purpose and special place in the world—just like Buckaroo Buckeye did. My true calling is helping others become successful readers, so I became a Reading Specialist. But this nut didn’t fall far from the family tree! In the early 1900s, my grandmother was a one-room schoolhouse teacher in rural Ohio.
Written by Jacob Fletcher: This book, Where Have You Been?, by Amit Siovitz, tells the story of Johnny Milaowic, an American soldier who was just discharged from Iraq. On the surface, he seems like a normal guy, with the normal desires in life: he wants to get a better car, to ensure that his girlfriend Jenny doesn’t leave him…oh, not to mention, he also wants some heroin. If he goes long enough without this substance, he feels the change; he misses it, and the desire is a constant itch in the back of his head.
But—as things turn out—Johnny’s desire for heroin is only the first of his problems. In reality, things are much worse. For example, he can’t seem to remember things properly, and his mind is fuzzy.
About Lisa Loucks Christenson: I’ve enjoyed many career changes from working for the Minnesota Conservation Corps, various newspapers, radio, working as a traveling photographer, working in communications, dispatching, fulfillment and more. After years of selling my stories, articles, stock photos, books, both fiction and non-fiction, writing articles, shooting pictures, filming what I observe in the wild. I thank god every day for the blessing He has given me, and allowing me the opportunity to live my dreams: photographing His world, writing, illustrating, selling my art, cards, paintings, books, e-books, photos, and sharing my work through exhibits and speaking engagements.
